Meet Laurie, one of our receptionists. She has been with our practice since March 2004. She’s a self-acclaimed ‘Jersey Girl’ who’s lived in Florida since 2000. Working at Bonita Vet has allowed her to see lots of wonderful breeds of dogs and cats, but she can’t choose a favorite…Laurie has also seen some wildlife in the office, like an eagle and a bobcat. When not working, you will find her eyes in a Nook or watching an action movie.
Meet Rea, one of our receptionists. Rea began working at our practice in July 1989. Rea has a strong knowledge of veterinary medicine after spending her entire career in every aspect of a veterinary hospital as well as extensive time in shelter medicine.
Rea has a strong interest in genealogy and family history. She is proud to honor her patriot ancestors as a member of The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and currently working on identifying veterans and others at a local cemetery.
Meet Stacy, one of our technicians and the Technician Supervisor! She has been a part of the BVH family since May 2008 and enjoys her gratifying career as a Veterinary Technician. Stacy is a Naples native that was raised on a small farm in rural Collier County. She has always had a strong love for all animals big and small. She enjoys tending to her 5 acre farm and caring for all her critters…Chickens, goats, horses and of course, 3 dogs and a cat! If she is not with the animals at work and home, she is spending time with family and friends.
Meet Vince, one of our technicians and the Hospital Supervisor! Vince joined our practice all the way back in March 1998 and in fact is our second longest tenured employee. He is the definition of a true Floridian, having been born in Ft. Myers, graduated from Estero High School, and attending college at both Edison and St. Leo University.
Vince is a former Emergency Medical Technician, licensed Greyhound Trainer and is one of the founders of and served on the Board of Directors for 45MPH Couch Potato Greyhound Adoptions INC. His pets include 3 retired racing Greyhounds and 2 cats.
In his free time Vince enjoys spending time with his wife (Krissi) and daughter (Brianna), attending church, going camping, doing home improvement projects, playing golf, attending sporting events and competing in The Tough Mudder Challenge. He currently has 3 Tough Mudders under his belt and has a goal of finishing 10 of them.
Meet Victoria, one of our Technicians. She first joined our practice in May 2011. Victoria feels so grateful to be living her dream providing exceptional care to animals everyday!
Victoria was born and raised in South Florida. She attended Edison State College (formerly) and FGCU after graduating 6th in her class from Estero High School. She has worked full time within a daytime veterinary hospital since 2005 and also enjoyed expanding her knowledge by previously working within an emergency facility.
In her personal time Victoria enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, Josh, doing any outdoor activity! They thoroughly enjoy camping, hiking, boating, ATV’s and bonfires. She has a Catahoula Leopard named Rebel who always joins them on adventures and one cat named Dude.
Meet Monica, one of our Technicians. Monica grew up loving dogs and riding horses in both Georgia as well as Virginia. That love of animals led her to start training as a Veterinary Technician in 1999. During her training she grew to be fascinated with Veterinary Medicine and the feeling of positively affecting the lives of cherished pets and wildlife. Throughout her career she became intrigued with emergency medicine/critical care and prefers working on challenging cases. After obtaining a practical nursing degree and being inducted into the National Honor Society, she is now seeking a BSN from Florida Southwestern State while also working part time here as well as a local emergency hospital. Monica’s hobbies include anything requiring adrenaline or being outdoors. She has a 9 year old daughter, a Chihuahua named “Baby”, a cat named “Stormy”, and keeps a saltwater fish tank. An interesting note is that all of her pets were obtained while on the job.
Meet Alexis, one of our receptionists who is also training as a technician. Alexis was raised in Florida and has always had a passion for animals of all kind. In 2009 she started as an intern with us while attending high school. Shortly after she graduated she was hired on to our staff.
In 2015 Alexis moved to Gainesville to attend Sante Fe College Teaching Zoo, where she earned her degree in Zoology. In 2017 she returned to the BVH family while also interning at the Naples Zoo to continue her career in Zoology.
In the little bit of free time she has, Alexis enjoys fishing and spending time w/family and friends.
Her pets include 3 cats (Simba, Nala and Nina).
